@nafaidni Stalin made Marxism workable. After Lenin destroyed the Russian economy, Stalin replaced it - with a system based terror, basically by expanding on the ideas of secret police, terror killings and the like first imposed by Leon Trotsky and his CHEKA.

Now, socialism as we all know has never been truly implemented. Stalin destroyed any possibility of a possibly socialist Russia after Lenin’s death (called by Churchill as the worst event in Russia after Lenin’s birth). 80% of what Americans hate of the Soviet Union, you should know, was implemented under Stalin. Khrushchev was far more liberal.

@nafaidni No doubt. When a historian considers a national socialist a “socialist” he is de facto labelled as a “Rightist” or “conservative” by Leftists. In the Leftist worldview, any deviation from their contrived worldview is a version of “Rightism” - even if it comes from groups who call themselves Leftist or socialist. Thus why Bolsheviks and Maoists regularly would call each other “fascists” or “reactionaries” back in the 1960s.

No one except you and American conservatives call fascism a form of socialism. The creator of fascism calls it the opposite of socialism. Fascists executed the leader of the Socialist Party. Under Mussolini, the wages of workers fell to 1/3 of France’s.

@nafaidni Mussolini certainly repudiated Marxism, but that did not make him a “rightist”. Bakunin was not favorable to Marxism either, but no one argues that he was a “rightist” outside of Marxist circles.
Mussolini nationalized industries, heavily taxed business people, and created a “cult of the state” with himself as dictator. He was not at all interested in free market principles. His practical policies were far more similar to those of Fidel Castro or Hugo Chavez than Ronald Reagan.

I mean during the Clinton Administration, the US was on top of its game, now George W Bush messed it all up. Republicans are all about wars and international policy, its getting old, Democrat > Republican because history shows that Employment and GDP Growth is higher when Democrats are in power.
You know what i say Congress should just forfeit their federal health insurance, why should tax payers care about the people they send to work for them when the people who work for the tax payers dont care about the middle class and poor.
