@mrswartz crysis is a video game, not an actual word.
I live in America, and yes, there are exceptions to the rule.
this is why the crime rate is so high!
@xkeltoix apparently you don’t know any of us so how can you say that? do you see what we’re going through the past 12 years? we’re in a crysis and all you can say is this? fuck you
@MsRegDwight americans typically have very poor education and are not prepared for reality.
BS. 1)this movie compares young and healthy adults healthcare in Europe and Cuba with old and severely affected to the point of needing special care people in the US. 2)”free” socialized healthcare, what is he an idiot? it is NOT free it is payed through taxes, budget deficits and severe inflation which robs the poorest indirectly. 3)yea politicians r corrupt, so now lets entrust them ALL healthcare? And as for Cuba why did they have to fly a doctor from Spain when Castro needed to be operated??
Today, most of Europe and America are unable to finance their health care systems.
Many Americans have put their trust in the Obama solution, meaning the government taking over the role of the insurance companies, but in a more genorous fashion (to begin with). The end result: national deficit.
In Europe, people expect to get proper health care in return for the high taxes they are paying/have paid. The solution; national deficit.
Something is wrong here.
In the U.S. we have many social programs, we have parks, elementary school, high schools, transit systems run by the state all subsidized by the government and they work fine, why not have public health care??
@d4bluegj :a week at a hospital can ruin your life, your kids’ lives and even your grandkids’. HEALTH CARE is WAY past due for a reform !!!
Thank you so much for posting this movie!
@MsRegDwight americans think that cuz they’re fooled by the paid media every damn day. You want facts grab a book or encyclopedia, turn off the news that lie to us every single day.
@goaindia71 me too
As a conservative, I find this to be very very disgustingly biased.. but at the same time, it does raise many valid issues that we really need to work on. I can’t say that what the Republicans offer is right, nor can I say what the Democrats offer is the cure all either. Both sides need to buck up and compromise.
A little socialism can go a long way. It improves health care, welfare, and other public services. Americans don’t want to pay higher taxes; they don’t realize they are cheating themselves out of quality education and other benefits. If America would spend less on military funding in distracting and useless foreign wars and more on infrastructure and developing its own nation, it would not be in the state its in. You could also spend less on ‘national security’ if you simply made fewer enemies.
I saw “The Rainmaker” today in TV, which inspired me to see Sicko again. Capitalism is NOT democracy. Democracy would be that people rule the world. Capitalism is dictatorship of money over humans. Yes, communism failed but capitalism did too. Let’s look for something inbetween.
@MsRegDwight i believe America should be socialist country. it seems to work for a lot of countries. but Americans are dumbass’s and are scared of change. thats why i want to get out of this country for a few years
@MsRegDwight
Here here! Communism kicks ass!
only 2 movies like this saw 6 and SICKo
We dont, thats just what the BBC tells you, drink more Kool Aid.
Most on the Far left want a democratic Socialism, people like me in the middle I favor a Progressive Republic, then again we do actually have people who are Communist or pure Socialists, etc.
But on the other hand no Democracy that ever existed didn’t eventually become a Dictator state. Shows a great degree of weakness in the Social Democratic system, too many idiots with the power to make decisions.
I am one of the uninsured people and it is amazing me how high are the costs. If you are a cash patient you pay more, instead of less. My husband got a small piece of rust in his eye, and for that we went to the hospital. We waited 2 hours unitl we saw the doctor, and the treatment was about 20 minutes. The hospital bill came at 2800. It is a rip off.
@davidlong211 LOL I’m with you! I’m Aussie and moving to the USA next year with my American husband. I went to the doctor last week and got a whole heap of tests done, that way if something’s wrong with me, I can get it fixed FOR FREE and not have to worry about being denied insurance.
I love Moore and his way of bringing this up to the surface but cant help wondering how on EARTH is he still ALIVE?? :D
@Perilix
Free prescriptions if you’re a student, old or unemployed. Working schmucks have to pay. Kinda annoying but who cares, I’m a student so I intend to get all my illnessers out of the way quickly before I have forty years of perfect and cheap health and then collapse into a pile of bones and dust at 66, that is unless Cameron lets me collapse into a pile of bones and dust.
welcome to America where the 1% get richer & the majority gets poorer…I guess its either lose your house & everything else to pay your hospital bill. That or just die, due to inadequate health care because a lack of funds! As a young American myself, my eyes are being opened to a lot of our country’s issues. I pray a change will come soon.. :(
Wao disculpen mi nivel de ingles solo esta en 3/5, but i know that its very spensiv; las cosas no estan de maravillas en EEUU
@Hatebot123
You need to read about what the other countries do not report
